Event Report

Our first Grass Autotest of the year took place on Sunday 21st May, with 30 entries, returning to Mains of Twynholm thanks to the Graham family.

Class 1 (under 1400cc FWD): It was a MGZR 1-2-3 with Mark McCulloch finishing 3.80 seconds ahead of Rab Henderson, with Niall Cowan Jnr in third and Birthday boy Grant Carson in 4th.

Class 2 (over 1400cc FWD): A Nissan Micra 1-2-3, Thomas McCarney took the class win, ahead of Richard Dickson in second and then Karen McCarney.

Class 4 (over 1400cc RWD): David Drummond was the only finisher in this class, taking maximum points.

Class 5 (Specials): Billy Biagi was the only finisher in this class, taking maximum points.

Well done to our winner, Mark McCulloch, finishing ahead of Rab Henderson and Thomas McCarney who was also Top Senior. All three drivers seprataed by less than 8 seconds. First Lady was Karen McCarney, with Dugald MacGregor taking Top Novice.

We must also give a commendable mention to our three new Junior Competitors all tackling Grass Tests for the first time – Sam, Sophie and Lillie – who all performed excellently! Well done.

Thanks go to the Graham family again for the venue, to Barbara & Kirsty for Organising, Norman & Fiona for timing and results, and all who helped on the day.
