Grass Autotest Running Order

Following last night’s (4th June) Committee Meeting, where the current Running Order on Grass Autotests was discussed, it has been decided by the Committee to try a different running order on our next Autotests.

This will involve everyone drawing their start position from a bag of numbered balls. The start List will then be split into 6 groups, and after each round, the first group will fall to the back of the field, and so on for Run 2 etc.

We hope that this will give all entries a fairer chance, as it should give everyone a chance of running at the front and at the back, and therefore we hope nobody should feel advantaged or disadvantaged on the event.

We hope you will embrace this trial running order, and anyone with any questions, comments or suggestions is welcome to bring these to the Chairman.

Ultimately – we only wish for all our members participating in our events to enjoy themselves as much as possible. 😊

As an example, imaging the event has 18 entries, the running order on the event would be:

RUN 1:  1,2,3 – 4,5,6 – 7,8,9 – 10,11,12 – 13,14,15 – 16,17,18
RUN 2: 4,5,6 – 7,8,9 – 10,11,12 – 13,14,15 – 16,17,18 – 1,2,3
RUN 3: 7,8,9 – 10,11,12 – 13,14,15 – 16,17,18 – 1,2,3 – 4,5,6
RUN 4: 10,11,12 – 13,14,15 – 16,17,18 – 1,2,3 – 4,5,6 – 7,8,9
RUN 5:  13,14,15 – 16,17,18 – 1,2,3 – 4,5,6 – 7,8,9 – 10,11,12

For 11–15 entries: MOVE IN GROUPS OF 2
For 16–20 entries: MOVE IN GROUPS OF 3
For 21–26 entries: MOVE IN GROUPS OF 4
