Event Report

Our final Grass Autotest of the year took place on Sunday 15th October at Southerness thanks to the McKeand family. A re-scheduled date from 24th September and thankfully the weather was much kinder – even “too much sun” effecting Norman’s ‘beams’!

Well done to our winner, Thomas McCarney, finishing ahead of Rab Henderson & Niall Cowan Jnr. Less than 6 seconds separated the top 3 in the end. First Lady was Karen McCarney, with Daniel Burns taking Top Novice in his best position of 4th, and Sam Forsyth Top Junior.

Thanks go to the McKeand family again for the venue, to the Riddick sisters for Organising, Norman & Albert for timing and results, and all who helped on the day. Special thanks to Thomas for sorting out the harrows and David & Martha for spinning them about. ☺️

That’s it for grass tests this season. It has been great for us to have lots of new members taking part this year, and visibly getting better with every event. ☺️ Hopefully see you all next year! Finally, thanks again to our five Landowners for allowing us access to their fields this year.
