Fell Hill, Crocketford was the venue for the Solway’s latest grass autotest on Sunday the 18^th . With 34 entries competing on a typical car club auto test day! With excellent natural contours, the field proved very tough to tame in the wet conditions!

 In Class one Simon Dowden (Corsa), with Keith Riddick (Dennis), and Scott Peacock (Honda), were a close battle. Simon took the win after Keith & Scott both had cone penalties!

 In Class Two Keith McMath (Mazda), Gordon Clendinning(205), Harry Adams (Corsa) and Ian Wilson (Nova), were all swapping fastest times. Gordon received a cone penalty which ultimately decided the outcome.

 Murray and Mark Grierson (Buggy) were the only competitors in Class Five. A bit of a grudge match between father and son, with Mark winning the last round, but Murray had the foot firmly down to make sure he took the win.

 Dougie Campbell & Robin Laidlaw, Class Six competitors had a day long battle in the Suzuki, but when Robin hit a cone the outcome was to benefit Dougie.

 Top Lady was Barbara Armstrong (Nova) with a very respectable time.

 It was also fantastic to see the junior members out again, with Lauren Hyslop and Scott Peacock taking their respective wins; they probably fared much better than most of their elders!

 The event had to be cut short after 3 runs due to poor weather conditions.

 A big thank you must go to the Marshall family for the use of the field. All competitors, Scott, Norman, Daniel, Michael, Keith and Nancy for helping on the day.
