Points Scoring

Autotests (Grass and Tar)
Class based championship; points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first in class, 9 for second in class, 8 for third in class, and so on down to 1 point for 10th in class. Classes will not be amalgamated, and there must be at least two in a class before an award will be awarded at the end of the season.

Bonus Points (Grass Autotest)
Extra bonus points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first overall, 9 for secondoverall, 8 for thirdoverall, and so on down to 1 point for 10th in the overall classification, regardless of the class entered. These points will only count towards the Grass Autotest Championship, and not the Overall Championship.

Bonus Points (Tar Autotest)
Extra bonus points will be awarded on the basis of 5 points for first overall, 4 for second overall, 3 for third overall, and so on down to 1 point for 5th in the overall classification, regardless of the class entered. These points will only count towards the Tar Autotest Championship, and not the Overall Championship.

12 Car Rally
In classes, points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Classes will not be amalgamated and there must be at least two in a class before an award will be awarded at the end of the season. 

Expert 12 Car Rally competitors will score 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third etc towards the Overall Championship.

Semi-Expert 12 Car Rally competitors will score 7 points for first, 6 for second, 5 for third etc towards the Overall Championship.

Novice 12 Car Rally competitors will score 5 points for first, 4 for second, 3 for third etc towards the Overall Championship.

Overall Championship
Contested over all events. Dropped scores will apply as per A, B, C & D.

Novice Championship
Contested over all events. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Dropped scores will apply as per A, B, C & D.

Novice Autotest Championship
Contested over all Grass and Tar Autotests. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Dropped scores will apply as per A and B.

Ladies Championship
Contested over all events. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Dropped scores will apply as per A, B, C & D.

Junior Championship for Boys and Girls
Open to club members 14-16 years old inclusive (age as at March 1st of competiton year). Contested over Grass Autotests only. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Dropped scores will apply as per A.

Senior Championship
Open to club members over 55 year olds inclusive (age as at January 1st of competiton year). Contested over all events. Dropped scores will apply as per A, B, C & D.

Chrysler Trophy
Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th to competitors using a Chrysler (Peugeot Talbot) in club events.

Team Trophy
Contested over all Grass and Tar Autotests. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for the team with the lowest combined total time, 9 for second, 8 for third, and so on down to 1 point for 10th. Teams will consist of three members (from a nominated maximum of four).

Dropped Scores and Tiebreaks
A. Grass Autotest Championship - One score (plus any associated bonus points) to be dropped (i.e. if 9 events are run, 8 scores to count) however, if 5 or less events run, all scores will count. 

B. Tar Autotest Championship - One score (plus any associated bonus points) to be dropped (i.e. if 5 events are run, 4 scores to count) however, if 2 or less events run, all scores will count.

C. 12 Car Rally Championship - Two scores to be dropped (i.e. if 6 events are run, 4 scores to count) however, if 3 or less events run, all scores will count.

D. Production Car Trial Championship - One score to be dropped (i.e. if 4 events are run, 3 scores to count) however, if 2 or less events run, all scores will count.

E. Tie Breaks - In the event of a tie in any Championship, and to try to avoid shared awards, the points scored will be considered as follows: Highest scores take precedence (i.e. someone scoring 10-10-9-8 would win over someone scoring 10-9-9-9, despite their total being the same.) If this fails to solve the tiebreak, awards will be shared.
