To all Officials On behalf of the organisers thank you for your assistance in the running of the usedcarparts.co.uk Solway Coast Rally and we hope you all had an enjoyable day.

Congratulations to the Overall Winners, David Hardie and John McCulloch, and to everyone for a great day’s motorsport. A team of 146 Marshals, Doctors, Rescue, Recovery and Media signed on to assist in the running of the event, and of course the competing cars cannot run without a great deal of support from their teams too – so an all round well done to everyone.
I don’t think the MSA Steward John Fenwick will mind me quoting him – “5 Star and Smiles all round”

We are delighted to confirm we will again be supported by Richard and Nadine Stewart of www.usedcarparts.co.uk , and thank them for their tremendous support.

Notes from Competitors

Can Jamie and myself (and our co-drivers) say a big thank you to yourself and the organising team for what must be the most social event of the year. We had a great day, especially Jamie on his first event, the wee `b` even beat me on two stages, a plug lead coming off! The whole event was well run. Hi Isobel, wanted to tell you how much Helen and I enjoyed the rally. It was Helens second rally and the first with notes, so it was a bit of a challenge for us both. She found it difficult to contain her pleasure all day. The truth is that it would have been so much more difficult for her, if the organisation had not been so accomplished. We are very grateful to the organising team for all your efforts. I still think that very few people realise, just how much time and effort is required to run an event so faultlessly. Thank you for a great day's rallying on Sunday. Drew and I had never been to the ranges before and although it was challenging (is that not what rallying is all about?) we had a great day. We were not the fastest, but we ended our day with the car in one piece, no punctures, and smiles on our faces. We hope to return next year, so see you then! Shona Hale
